The whole process to create Floca pieces occurs here, in Spain.
Embracing local production was key when envisioning this project; it allows a traceable process with reduced environmental footprint as well as keeping our industry alive by supporting our local workshops and mills.
After many months of research and fieldwork, I thankfully got to know these beautiful humans that are now my partners in crime; we have built a relationship of mutual trust and respect for the work of each other that I treasure deeply.
All knits are artfully crafted in our family atelier in Galica, where a lifelong team with lifelong savoir faire and attention to detail, carefully hand-crafts each piece.
All our yarns are spun in local mills with ancestral experience and tradition in Cataluña. How awesome it is to be dealing with the sons of the founders.

Our wool comes from our local Spanish sheeps who live most of their life out in the meadows and grasslands grazing freely. They are bred under environmentally friendly extensive farming and there are still a bunch of herds that continue practicing the seasonal migration along pastoral paths called transhumance. An ancestral practice considered as intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO that entails enormous ecological value for our ecosystems.
Sheeps are treated with care by our traditional shepherds and respectfully sheared by experienced hands without causing any harm at any time of the process. Spanish merino wool is well known for its unpaired resistance and elasticity that makes it unique among other merino wools; it is a sturdy fiber that beautifully softens and adapts to you with time and use.
